About me
Valya Papadopoulou
My name is Valya and I am a Canadian born independent Illustrator and artist currently based in Athens, Greece. I started out as an Engineer, working many years in a multinational corporate environment which has given me the savvy and understanding of deadlines and customer needs. During the pandemic, I rediscovered the joy of drawing and painting which I found to be extremely rewarding for the soul and spirit, and have never looked back since.
I have a passion for fashion illustration, surface, pattern and packaging design. I recently enrolled in a Masters in Graphic design at the LABASAD Barcelona School of Arts and design.
In my free time I read about lettering and all things design. A true creative nerd. :)
I am deeply inspired by nature, my city and the feminine form.
My style can be described as whimsical, a combination of vibrant colors, playfulness and elegance, with a penchant towards the feminine
